Sincere condolences to you all, Mick was a good man, a real Rahotu icon. He was a great friend to Dad who he helped many a time. I´m sure they´ll be having a drink together sharing many memories.

Taranaki Tribal Maori Rugby acknowledge the passing of our life member, uncle Mick Guthrie. Uncle Mick and Aunty Liz were stalwarts of Tribal rugby along the Coast and around the maunga. Uncle Mick was a legend with his speeches and yarns and Aunty for her scones, loved and missed by all.

On behalf of the Taranaki Provincial Fire Brigades Association, we thank Mick for his service to the New Zealand Fire Service with the Rahotu Volunteer Fire Brigade. We wish Micks family and friends, and the Rahotu Fire Brigade our deepest condolences.

Fond memories of Mick the legend. Back with Liz again Loved chatting to him especially during my Rahotu teaching days. Another one of the Rahotu oldies to go. May he be reunited with The Rahotu Street Kids at the Tavern in the sky.

Condolences to the Guthrie family, I last talked to Mick at the Rahotu Tavern, just days after his 92nd Birthday. He was still betting on the GGs and drinking beer. There wouldnt be many of us left who could live a full life like Mick did. Gone to heaven to be with his beloved wife Elizabeth. RIP Mick Guthrie.
