Helen SYKES Obituary
(Former Taranaki Golf Champion). Peacefully at Taranaki Base Hospital on Thursday 4 May 2023, aged 97 years. Loving wife of the late Maurice. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Graeme and Margaret (dec), Elizabeth, Robyn and Richard (dec). Loved Grandma and Grandma Helen of Richard and Andrea, Andrew and Stephanie, Duncan and Kayla, Kate and Jesse, Bridget and Brad, and Natalie and Will. Great-Grandma of Awa, Koukou, Eda, Mavis, Annie, Vaughan, Boden and Denver. Special thanks to the wonderful caring staff at Taranaki Base Hospital and Hospice staff. A celebration of Helen's life will be held in the Chapel of W. Abraham, 366 Devon St East, New Plymouth, on Tuesday 9 May at 2.00pm. Private cremation to follow.

Graeme, Elizabeth and Robyn, Sorry to read of your Mother's passing. I remember the many nights spent in front of your TV, the only one in the street, with the Harvey Kids in the early 60s. Such a generous family. My heartfelt condolences to all the family.
