So sad to learn of Ian's departure from this world. We are forever grateful for the work he did for us over the years. Nothing but nothing would stump him and beat him. If there was ever a problem he stuck it out to the end and always succeeded. A wonderful man - a true legend.
Our deepest sympathy.
May he rest in peace.

Sarndra, Greer, Jazz and families. We are so sorry to hear of Ian's passing. An awesome guy gone way too soon. Bruce first meet Ian as a 11 year old at Devon Intermediate and his sense humour was obvious way back then. Later they played rugby for Spotswood Old Boys and then Ian was known as Dimps. Bruce was privileged to have Dimps as his plumber for many years and he was loved by all the subbies and clients. Dimps always made work fun and lighthearted. Subbies loved extended smokos when Dimps was on the job as they were always full of humour and laughter. When we last saw Dimps in July before we left for our holiday we were still amazed with his strength and courage in dealing with such a debilitating condition. We wish we could be there to help celebrate Ian's life. We will be there in spirit and honour him with "Dimps´ jandal day". Dimps you are a true legend. Sending much love to you all Bruce and Valda (currently in Crotia )

To Sarndra, Greer, Jaz and families. My heart it so sad for all of you with the passing of Ian. He was one "of the good guys" and has been taken far too soon. I wish I could be there to say a final goodbye to my cheeky, fun loving, kind hearted cousin but I will be there in spirit. I am sure there will be some interesting stories told. I will raise a glass or two in his honour.
Sending love to you all.

Deepest condolences to you all. Ian was a family friend from our days in Lawry Street. After all members other than my Mum and I (Elwyn Barr) had passed away, Ian was absolutely wonderful with Mum even taking her out on her mobility scooter as she lacked confidence. Our love and thoughts are with you all.

Tony and I are sorry to hear of Ian´s death after such a devastating illness. Ian worked on our house reno and keep us entertained with his dry humour and little quips. When I asked if we needed to install more heating downstairs he told me " Nah, just put a jersey on." Classic. Our love and thoughts to family.
