Ian GREEN Obituary

Hi Shirley condolences to you and your wider family. 68 years married what a great celebration. Ian was a great boss of mine for 11 years at Lactose. RIP mate.

Ian was my Head Driver at "The Lactose Company" for some time before I left the company. He was a reliable and excellent driver.
I remeber very well Ian and I going to a driver training day put on By VOLVO in Palmerston North. All the way down Ian kept going on about he knew how to drive a truck so what could anyone teach him. We spent the time there listening to a leading driving instructor from the Volvo factory tell us how we should be driving and doing runs in at least two models of their trucks to practice what we had been taught.
All the way back to Hawera Ian kept saying, "just wait till I teach our guys how to really drive a truck"
Ian was a great guy and I believe we worked well together. The other drivers respected him as the one to go to when things needed to be worked out during the working day.
It is sad that he has moved on from this earth and he will be missed. Only another 11 years and I might catch him up age wise.

Although he has passed on, his memory forever stays. Remember how he smiled and the joy he always gave. You'll miss him all the time and think of him every day. His love filled the world, it's a love that will never fade.
