We and my sisters stayed with the gundesens on their new Plymouth farm. Such warmth, generosity and fun. Rest in God's Arms

Kia ora Gunderson family, my name is Rene Tekiri, my mother was Anne Elizabeth Penny. I came to New Plymouth this week for work and was going to look for aunt Marion, only to find out both aunt and uncle have pasted on. My heart sank. My chance to catch both has been missed sadly. So sorry about Ian. Our condolences to his family. Whenever he popped, Ian always had something very serious to say and yet always made us laugh. He was full of knowledge and experience. Hopefully that has been passed on. Thank you dear Ian for the laughs. Rest in peace dear soul.

He was a fun loving person and was a farmer on Palmer Road in Kaponga many years ago.

Sorry to have missed Gundy´s final farewell today. Lots of good times working and socialising back in the early Harcourts days! Always the joker. A great work mate who kept in touch until his accident and after that by email. Great memories. He will be remembered by many people. Thinking of the family and sending our sincere condolences.

You brought so much into our office, Harcourts Devon Real Estate. Every morning your arrival was announced by your whistling Birdsong, then many Good Mornings.
Real Estate was your world filled with your enthusiasm, bright ideas and kindness. You were the epitome of the older caring crew; always a shiny car,a desk where you could find your bits of notes, your ads ready for the paper, looking as smart as successful RE SPs should.
You were trusted "to do what you promised you would do". Thats a huge contribution to any team holding their place at the top.
After working together for decades, you and Russell held a special friendship for which I thank you sincerely.
Your conversations and times chewing-the-fat werent meant to be understood by others!
Its 10 years since Russ left this world, but if you two meet up again dont bother to scheme a plan to Auction off the Pearly Gates. Galvin Edser got there before you guys arrived so he will have beaten you to list them?
You leave me with so many memories.

I am very saddened to learn of Gundy's passing. Heartfelt condolences to Ross, Grant, Christine & families. Gundy's sense of humour was like no other. His lighthearted attitude to life was amazing. His emails and jokes will be sorely missed too. Gundy's love for his family and lovely Marion was a prime example of how life should be lived. My family have been so privileged to have had you in our lives. Thank you Gundy. RIP.

We have many happy memories of Ian even back to the cycling days at Manaia Athletic Club. Both he and Marion were great neighbours to our late Mum and Dad in Hobson Street some years ago.
He will always be remembered by our family.
