Christine , David, Peter and Families I´m so sad to hear that we have lost your dearly loved Cooochie, one of life´s absolute treasures, an honour and privilege to have known him. Such An amazing man. A call from the hospital in the middle of the night would have him showing up very very quickly, with farm cloths pulled on over his PJ´s Hayseeds and all , Bless him
You will all have fabulous memories as will all who knew and loved him.R.I.P. Mac you were a very special Man.
Take great care of yourselves
Love and Hugs to you all

Hey Sword and Anita, our condolences for the passing of Dr Mac. I have to say I absolutely appreciated Dr Mac´s time in Patea, in terms of his affinity with my Dad, it was an impossibility to get dad to a doctor as he never trusted one on the basis that his mother was lost in 1935? ..but he, Dr Mac, turned Dad all around and was so well loved and respected in the rural town and community we both grew up in. I remember Mum and Dad being so upset that Dr Mac was leaving Patea, it was huge to them, and a new trust with a new GP had to be established, and, NEVER was. They talked about him often. Your Dad was an absolute icon. Respected and utterly appreciated.

Shaun and Lorena Brannigan send our sympathy to all Doctor Mac's family. We both have very fond memories of time spent with both him and Cheral in Patea. When he was a busy G.P., doctor at the freezing works and hospital. Back when doctors did house calls and were seldom off the clock. He will be remembered and miss by many. May happy memories comfort you.

Remembering an iconic GP that worked so hard; on call all hours in rural Patea many years ago. Always incredibly positive, humorous and a great work colleague. RIP Mac
