My love and thoughts go out Sandra and family with the passing of Ian we met through our involvement of Melody Belle then continued with many horses since, good ones like Bellatrix Star and rising stars Lara Antipova and Tolaga Bay who both won yesterday and they were wins especially for him, he would have been so chuffed, he was a people's person and we both enjoyed our chats on horses, farming, politics and culture issues and I will miss those, he was a great guy, may he rest in peace

I was deeply sorry to read of Ian´s passing and my thoughts and sympathy are with Ian´s family. My family and Ians family have been friends for many years especially during our time at Makaka and Awatuna.

My sincere condolences to the family of Ian. Just a lovely man and a true gentleman in all my catch ups with Ian. We shared a similar interest with shares in various racehorses. It was a pleasure to have met Ian and the world has lost a genuine human being. May his legacy live on and may God bless his soul.
