Ian WHITTAKER Obituary

Thank you Ian for a life well lived. You did our Tainui community proud. Helped bring the first Ambulance to Mokau and served on the St John Ambulance. Our thoughts go out to your family at this time.

A sad loss to all the Whittaker whanau, a lovely kind man, my favourite uncle.

Margaret and family our deepest and sincerest sympathy for your loss of such a wonderful husband and father. We have many fond memories of our times together as neighbors in Mokau.

It has been often said that the Mokau Museum was Ian's Museum. And while you, Ian always denied this the fact remains without your vision, passion for local history, and tenacity in getting things done, the museum would not be what it is today. Ian, thank you for your service to the Mokau community. A mighty totara has fallen and we all grieve in the loss. Rest in peace our friend. Our deepest condolences to Margaret, Belinda and the extended family.
