When ever I'd bump into your mum in Urenui, she was always so happy and chirpy. A kind and lovely lady.

Very fond memories of going to your home to see both you and Derek to chat about farming, and getting the goldfish with the kids.

Irene you were one of a kind, you never let life get you down and always had that smile on your face. When that twinkle hit your eyes, mischief was on it's way.
I will treasure many happy memories of you.
You are going to be sorely missed by so many!!

Admired your capabilities even at 83 years of age you would put someone 20 years younger to shame. Lift those legs up Irene and keep fit girl. You were an inspiration to us. Miss you, god bless you and may you find happiness in heaven, amen

A beautiful lady gone too soon. Dear Uncle Derek, Nigel, Gavin, Colina and Dean. My heartfelt condolences, love and thoughts are with you all at this very sad time.
I have very fond memories of Aunty Irene, one being her absolutely beautiful smile, and the cheeky twinkle in her eyes. That usually meant mischief. Such a beautiful Aunty, wife, mother and grandmother.
Aunty Irene, you will be missed more than you know, I'm so pleased I got to visit you in hospital.
Rest easy beautiful lady, love you always.

Irene was a very valued life member of the Okoki Rural Women. Her enthusiasm was infectious, her smile a joy and her love of people made her a very popular member of our group. Irene will be very sadly missed by us all. Derek and family, we send you our love and support. From the Okoki Rural Women.
