Irene HANSEN Obituary

Irene passed away peacefully as a result of cancer, surrounded by family on 15 January 2026, at home in Napier. Aged 87 years. Loved wife of the late Peter. Much loved and treasured Mum (Rene) and mother-in-law of Kerry Hansen (Napier), Graeme and Vickie Hansen (Napier), Judy and Roger Zieltjes (Taranaki). Sister of Carol Mayo (Christchurch), and the late Noeline Angen and Robbie Hunt. Cherished Nana of Sean and Jenna, Nathan and Brooke, and Lisa and Tom. Grand Nana of 7 (all Taranaki). Special thanks to Cranford Hospice staff and the Access ladies for their loving care. In accordance with Irene's wishes, a private cremation has taken place.
