Isabel WALTER Obituary
(nee Carryer):
Has departed on her final tramp. Peacefully with family by her side at Jean Sandel on Monday 28 November 2022, aged 81. Loved wife of the late David. Mother and mother-in-law of Nicki & Nigel, Pip & Simon, and Rod & Cathy. Adored Isabel of Fletcher, William, Richard, Sarah, Holly, Jordie & Cat and her great-granddaughters Ellie and Amelia. Messages to the Walter Family may be left on Isabel's tribute page at eagars.co.nz/Isabel. A service to celebrate Isabel's life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth on Friday 2 December 2022 at 10.30am. For those unable to attend, Isabel's funeral will be livestreamed via her tribute page.

The Stratford Tramping Club extend their sympathy to Isabel's family in her passing. Isabel was a founding member of the Club in 1984 and was the 1st Secretary of the Club and has held the position of Secretary twice, 1st time as the 1st Secretary in 1984 and then in 1996 to 2007 and in 1990 to 1996 was elected President . In 2007 the Club presented her with Life Membership for Outstanding Contributions to the Club. Many thanks Isabel for leading tramps and organizing the many trips away for the Club.
