James CHAPPLE Obituary

CHAPPLE, James Peter Bancroft. - (Former Spotswood College Teacher). Peacefully on 17 January 2013, aged 88 years. Loved husband of Marie Sisman (deceased). Loved Dad of Paul and Penny. Loved Grandad of Jeremy, Oscar and Miles. Loved Great Grandad of Kiera, India and Makaia. Donations to Tainui Village would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
A service to celebrate the life of Peter will be held at the Tainui Village Recreation Room, 96 Clawton Street, New Plymouth on Monday 21st January 2013 at 1pm. All Welcome.

CHAPPLE, Peter. — Current and former students, Staff and Board of Trustee members of the Spotswood College community acknowledge with sorrow the passing of Peter who was a teacher at the College for 18 years from 1968-1985, as Head of the Science department. Peter made a huge contribution in this curriculum area and was an inspiration to his students and fellow teachers. Deepest sympathy is extended to all members of the Chapple family.

CHAPPLE, Mr Peter. — Behind those twinkling eyes was a legacy of a well lived life full of travel and scientific humour.
Social events were to be enjoyed as were intelligent discussions.
The school bell has rung in heaven and the bongo drums are playing.
