I barely knew my grandfather. It was hard to visit and I have always struggled with social anxiety so I never managed to work up the courage to call or message him. When I was little he used to send little funny drawings and small books he had made about me. I remember a little sketch he once sent of a guy getting stepped on by an elephant and the man was shouting a swear. My mum would always complain about how the words were inappropriate but she still found it funny as well. My dad never really bonded with his father. Me and my dad did get the artist trait from him though. When he passed I felt really guilty for never calling. It's taken me a while to be able to face this but I wanted to send a message to say thank you to my lovely late Grandpa. I will always miss you and thank you for all the gifts. I think about you daily and how spirited and free you always seemed. I aspire to be as talented as you and I will never forget you. Thank you grandpa for caring for me and showing me love.
Lots of love, your niece Olivia

To the Evan´s family.
Sad to hear of Jimmy´s passing.
Sure bought back a lot of happy memories from Laurent VC Str.
The school bus they had for their rugby team, bull rush, cricket etc on the front lawn (before there were fences) and playing the trees in the back paddock. Good Times.
I´ve talked to the family this morning and we are all thinking of you.
