Janice DAM Obituary
(nee Jones) – aged 85
van DAM, Pieter – aged 83:
Have embarked on their final journey together surrounded by family. Janice passed away on 2 April 2016, and Pieter passed away on 3 April 2016. Pieter and Janice are the loved parents and parents-in-law of Deborah van Dam and Don, Corrie and Mike Hoare, John and Angela van Dam, Phil and Heidi van Dam, and loved grandparents of Shelley and Morgan t'Hooft; Brodie, Fergus and Lachlan Hoare; Ally and Jessica van Dam. Sincere thanks to the staff at Maida Vale Retirement Village and Hospice Taranaki for the wonderful care of Pieter and Janice during these last months. A celebration of Pieter and Janice's lives and love will be held at St Luke's Co-operative Parish, Mangati Road, Bell Block on Thursday 7 April, commencing at 10.30am. The family invite you to stay for refreshments after the service with a private cremation to follow.

We were shocked and saddened to hear about both of our dear friends,Janice and Pieter passing away. My friendship with Pieter goes back many years to when we both came out on the boat to NZ in 1953, and we've kept in contact ever since. We Have many happy memories of them both and as sad as it is, its nice that their journey continues together. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family from Addy, Thea and family
