Jess, it was a privilege to work with you at DIA. You brought so much colour, smarts and humour (cue the Simpsons memes) to our team. You made us newbies to Min Advice feel comfortable to come to you for help when we needed. I always loved our chats and appreciated the fortnightly 7am WOM breakfast catch ups before work hehe toka a 'i he nonga moe fiemalie, ofa atu x

Jess, it was a pleasure working at DIA with you and becoming your friend. You are such a kind, warm and authentic person, with brilliant wit and an impressive muscle memory for a niche Simpsons' reference! Not to mention a great cat mom to Pepper. Losing you this soon is such a loss for us all, you fought the battle against Brian, Frank, and Simon so admirably, sending all the love and strength to your loved ones as they navigate this path without you in it.

Kia ora Jess and whanau

My sincere condolences.
I worked with Jess at NZQA many years ago; we sat side by side as policy advisors in the International team.

I always remember her witt and fun outfits, and every time I see the David B wall painting in Wellington:)

I´m so lucky to have worked and become friends with you. I have fond memories of all your pins, broaches and your resilient humour. We decorated to a Harry Potter theme and I think you were Professor McGonagall and had a big cardboard cat cut out. You remembered my favourite fandoms on your trip to the states and brought me back presents and you were just incredibly thoughtful.

Jess, working with you always made me smile. There was something exceptional about you that made any adverse circumstance seem surmountable. You brought this unwavering spirit to work everyday, and it made a massive difference in the lives of those who worked with you. We will miss you.
My condolences to Jess´ family in their time of grief. God bless you.

Jess was such a positive & fun-loving young woman. I remember both Jess & Rebecca so well as they grew up. Their cousin Linley & l used to babysit them when they were young, but l especially remember them in their secondary school years, when l worked at Stratford High School. Length of life seems to have no rhyme or reason, except for what you pack into it, & Jess certainly knew how to do that! Thinking of you Jan & also Rebecca at this very difficult time. Special love always from Viv & Barry Milner XXXX

I had the privilege of working with Jess when she was at NZQA. She was impossible to miss. She had style, she carried it with such flair and she was incredibly bright. I loved hearing her travel stories. She was so good to work with. Rest in peace, Jess. May your light continue to shine through people that you have touched.
