Scotty, super sorry to see this news about your mum, mate. I have this photo of us at your farm back in 84/85 on proud display at my house here in the UK and have such fond memories of her (and your dad!). She was a super lady and I'm sure you miss her. Stay strong, my old friend, and see you back in NP one day for a Westown school reunion. With love and condolences, Craig (Andy) Anderson x

Was the lovely lady who lived behind us in the 30 years we've been in our home and we will miss you. Your knowledge of the area was emmense and always interesting. You also took the time to discuss plants with a person who knew nothing. We knew all but one of your dogs and you always took an interest in ours, (and the kids to a lesser extent). Lily will miss popping in (and the dog treats) and we will have to stop looking to see if your blue door is open. It's been very strange to know you're no longer behind us - you were part of our neighbourhood. Liz and Jim Maessen and family

My deepest sympathy to Jill's whanau. I always looked forward to chatting with her. She had a sharp mind, quick wit and always had fantastic questions that kept me on my toes. I was in awe of Jill's drive and determination along with her extensive travel. Jill had a wonderful presence and always a twinkle in her eye. She will be missed.

You were so kind and generous Jill. I picked you up to go to our gardening group meeting three days before you had your stroke. You took the time to dig up a plant for me from your garden. This was hard work with such dry soil. You knew your plants and enjoyed sharing them. You will be missed.

Jill was one of life's true treasures and so inspirational. A generous soul who loved people, company and conversation.....a real social butterfly! We shared mutual passions for plants, nature, recycling and animals. I will miss our regular catch-ups and remember her fondly as her donated plant species continue to bloom for future generations to enjoy. Rest in Peace Jill. A life well lived. Such a privilege to have known you.

I entered through your white gate and down your pretty garden path regularly and I was always greeted with a lovely kind smile and good morning at your large heavy back door.
We laughed and chatted our mornings through enjoying every moment together.
Jill was an interesting lady and full of life and fun and made the most of each day.
At 92 she still made home made ice cream and Pavlovas.
A very special lady
Sadly missed
