I have fond memories of 'Families' and I working at the TSB in Hawera, where Jill would often visit on Friday nights. She would always brighten up the mood in the place with her smile and banter! We will be remembering a truly special woman this evening from the other side of the world. Jill was a woman with a vivacious personality, who will be missed by all who knew her. Her Kennedy roots were from Ayrshire in Scotland and we had the pleasure of meeting her on two occasions when she visited her ancestral homeland. It’s so typical of her to want bright colours at her funeral, because she was a truly bright star. We send our sincerest condolences to her life partner Irwin, along with Arron, Michelle and Judy her children, and her brother Graeme. As well as all her immediate family and friends. A beautiful Lady, with a big smile and a wicked sense of humor. Jill really lite up a room when she walked through the door. I first met Jill at Victim Support and then after I left that organization I had the pleasure of serving her at the pharmacy where I worked. Dear Irwin, Michelle, Aaron and families.
It is Jill who started Nicola off on the path into the ballet world, which she still follows 35 years later. It was Jill who gave Nicola her first pair of ballet shoes which were black when she really wanted pink like the other 6 year olds. "Black shoes are for the little ballerinas who are going to be really good," Jill told her. So Nicola wore those shoes proudly and Jill was right.
Jill wandered between the rows of small dancers waving a long cardboard cylinder. "I don´t want to see any bums sticking out," Jill said with sparkling eyes. All bums were tightly tucked in!
Thank you Jill for five marvellous dancing years in your beautiful farm studio, those years with Mrs Hooper are forever remembered. Paul and Margaret Ramsay

Where do you start to remember Jill. Those fun times on the farm when Raewin and I would bring Leanne & Danelle to stay for dancing comps in the early 80´s. The lovely times we shared with Joel, Jill & Michelle at out house for comps. Irwin you were like Graeme just quietly watched on - you couldn´t get a word in anyway. So many memories and so many fun times shared. You certainly will make a grand entrance on that stage above dear Jill Love to Irwin, Michelle, Aaron Jade and families.

Dear Jill, you were a wonderful life long friend from the age of 5, when we met at Joan Peter´s ballet school. Many years were spent travelling round dance competitions with our mothers and long suffering fathers.
I have many memories, not least of which was acting as your bridesmaid. Every time we met in Hawera Jill greeted me with a very loud "There´s my bridesmaid!" You will be sadly missed.
