Joan (nee Bacon):
Joan died peacefully at home at the ripe old age of 104 on Friday 13 August, 2021. Wife of Leo (dec), beloved mother of Claire Nelson, Noel (dec) and Liz, Tony (dec), Lindsay and Glenys, Nancy (dec) and Dave Catt and Leonie. Much loved grandmother of Fiona and Ruth, Chris and Jan, Dyane, Kyle and Ryan, Greg and Nicky. A private cremation has been held at her request. Donations in her memory can be made to Hospice Taranaki, TSB Bank 15 39 48 0365008 80.

What a life, what a truly remarkable human being. Joan has been an inspiration to so many throughout her life. Our extended family is all the poorer for the loss of our special kuia. Fond Memories of My past teacher.. Always firm.. loved measuring the school gyms. :P But always a twinkle in her eye and nice smile. R.I.P Mrs Bridgeman.
