Joan NEWELL Obituary
Peacefully at Taranaki Base Hospital, surrounded by family, on Friday, 20 June 2025, aged 73 years. Beloved wife of the late Patrick (Pat). Loved daughter of Molly & Geoff (both deceased). Adored sister of John & Doris (dec) & Laura, Denis & Maureen (both dec) & Maureen, Mary (dec), Anne & Salve, and Margaret & Marty. Cherished by all her nieces and nephews. Big thanks to the team at Coronation Lodge for all your love and care shown to Joan. Messages to Joan's Family may be left on her tribute page at eagars.co.nz/joan. Requiem Mass for Joan will be celebrated at St Joseph's Catholic Church, Powderham Street, New Plymouth, on Thursday 26 June 2025 at 10.00am, followed by her burial at Awanui Cemetery. Rosary will be prayed in the church on Wednesday afternoon at 4.30pm.

To Joans family.
Joan was an angel walking amongst us. She had the purest heart I've ever known. All who knew her as I did would agree and feel blessed she was in our lives. Joan was the nicest neighbour to have, so polite and respectful. She will be happy with her beloved Patrick now.
