I had the privilege of sharing the company of Joan as a teacher at Eltham Primary An extremely talented professional and caring and was respected by her peers. I am grateful for the many happy memories we shared over the years. Arohanui.

WATTS, Joan:
Joan's determination and "sometimes" stubbornness allowed her to live life on her terms. Her interest in all sports, particularly bowls, current events and family, along with a great sense of humour, kept her young. Joan was the matriarch of Fitzroy Villas. The game is over and the podium is ready. Tainui Village, Fitzroy Villa residents and staff extend their sympathy to Joan's family.
