Jocelyn (nee Ashworth):
Passed on at Jean Sandel Retirement Village on Thursday 28 October 2021, aged 73 years. Dearly loved wife of the late John. Much loved mum of Steven and Andrew. Loved sister of Carolyn, Beverly (deceased), Meryl, and Glyn (deceased). Special cousin of Raewyn. In lieu of flowers, donations to Tearfund would be appreciated and may be left at the service or deposited online at 12-3024-0505787-01 ref 1044616. A celebration of Jocelyn's life will be held at West Baptist Community Church, 144 South Road, Spotswood, New Plymouth, on Thursday 4 November 2021 at 10.00am. It was lovely to view Jocelyn's funeral yesterday. Lovely memories of her exploits over the years. Such a generous and caring lady. And so creative in so many ways. I enjoyed my time with The New Life singers not just for the singing but also for many laughs and even sometimes tears shared.

My regards to all the family .I worked with Jocelyn when she was doing the HPP programme at Spotswood Primary for many years. She was very fond of the children even knitting slippers for the children . A very kind lady.

I am very sad to hear of Jocelyn's passing. She was a wonderfully gifted woman who gave so much pleasure to others. I feel so privileged to have been under her leadership with the New Life Singers. She made our sessions fun while producing the best from us. Her needleship skills were also exemplary and it was a great joy to see her wall-hangings displayed at Jean Sandal last Christmas.
