Condolences to the Gazzard family on John's recent passing. John was our farm advisor and friend for about 25 years. His visits were looked forward to and stimulating. He was a man of high integrity with a logical and scientific approach to farming for profitability using a huge data base that he had built up over a long advisory career. His knowledge and ability to put forward a strong case based on science and logical thinking are sorely missed as we seem to be well into a stage where pseudo science and emotion sways those in power
Fair well R.I.P. John

Was sad to read of the passing of John. He was our farm advisor since 1990 after meeting him on a friends farm and realising that this guy was ahead of others in his profession. He soon was not only our advisor but a dear friend and witnessed our two children growing up during this time. The last visit with John and Linda in Wellington four years ago I noticed his personalised number plates in his garage (4GRASS) which was his philosophy. He handed me one and said it´s yours. I´ve hung it in my shed and look at it often, it brings back many great memories of this Great Man. Always in our thoughts. Rest In Peace John. John & Clare Hutterd.

We are sorry to hear of John´s passing, we lost contact when we moved to Australia in 2015. We had a working relationship with John going back to 1993 when we took up our first sharemilking job. He guided us through to farm ownership, he was always one step ahead of everyone else, Ron is still using his data today, he learnt so much from John, he was a great mentor to us in our farming career. We talk of him often.

So sad to read of John's passing. John was our farm advisor for many years - an inspirational, intelligent and kind man who helped us on our journey. As previously mentioned we are sure he would not be happy with all the things that the farming community have to put up with now. Sincere condolences to John's family.

Condolences Linda and family.
John was very cleaver and had a great brain for facts and figures. We often wonder how he would deal with the regulatory things we face today. We learnt alot from him and he was a big part of our career and where we are today. RIP John
