To Gary, Kris, Sonya and families, it was the most wonderful service I have ever attended, a fitting tribute for a wonderful man.
My children, Steven, Rodney and Nicola Bird were very sad and asked me to give you all their condolences.

I've just learned of John's passing and would like to pass on my condolences to the Hall family. I have so many fond memories of John & Jackie at Onaero Beach Camp. John always made life brighter with his big beaming smile and great sense of humor. It was a pleasure to have known him. A sad time for all. Warm regards Russell

To Johns' Family, Sorry I won't be able to join you in remembering John on Saturday. He was a lovely guy, always had time for a chat any time we met., hasnt changed much over the years! Just seems like only a few years ago we were all together playing at Pop's place at the sub station but that was so many years ago!! Lots of memories to share in bringing Jackie and John together again
