We always considered John a mentor, someone you could trust for sound advice whether you asked for it or not. Tataraimaka has lost a special person. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Michelle and the King family.

He always had a story to tell and at the end of it there was that cheeky smile. Life is not going to be the same for any of you. To Michelle Justin, Leighton and Nikolai, and families, I am so sorry to hear of John, your Husband, Father and Grandfather, passing away, bit of a shock really. Whenever we did see him we had a great catchup and the kids enjoyed his sense of humor, usually we caught up with Michelle and John, after the Christmas parade in New Plymouth, when he would be undressing the ute. Usually with a big grin on his face, he enjoyed that work, especially with the Lions club. We will miss him and his likeable nature and sense of humor, please accept our prayers for you all, and I am sure he will Rest in Peace, warm regards, Terry, Rochelle, Annabelle, Monica, Leo, Jenna, Luke and Jacob Joyce

KING, John:
Of all the many blessings however great or small,
To have had you for an uncle was the greatest one of all.

Passed away peacefully at Taranaki Base Hospital on Sunday 2 April 2023. Dearly loved son of George and Grace King (both dec). Much loved brother of Barbara and Alex (dec) Kuriger, Robert (dec), Pauline and Graeme Webby, Diane and Hugh (dec) Forsyth, Winefride and Ray Corrigan, Stephen (dec), Brian and Sharon, and Andrew and Robyn. Loved by his many nieces and nephews.
