Sorry we could not be at your send off today as we are currently overseas, I'm sure it will be a New Years your whanau will never forget.
Kirsty & I are so pleased we came to see you in March for a guided tour of your bit of land you were so very proud of & that you got to meet our little girls.
You were such a cool uncle growing up, I don't think I ever heard a negative thing come out of your mouth.

This is a day that regrettably we celebrate a life of a man who was so caring. I saw you on Sunday John, and little did we know when I said good-bye to you, it was to be the final good-bye. I said I would see you all when I returned later in January 2015. But now, you have taken up residence on that side of the curtain, its going to be a little while before we meet again, but until we do, Journey well John. Our deepest sympathy to Christine and All the whanau, we are unable to be with you at this time, but I will call in on my way home. Until then please keep well and love to you all. xxxx
