Bowls Taranaki

Yesterday

Sincere congratulations to Jack for an outstanding commitment and contribution to bowls in this province. Jack started at Kaimata and shortly after moved to the Inglewood club, where his devotion yielded Life Membership and 30 club titles - an amazing effort. He had a good delivery, efficient and relaxed. He built up an excellent knowledge of the game and became a fine coach to many. After skipping his side to the last eight of the 1983 Dominion fours, from a field of 446, Jack became a senior Taranaki representative, when the quality and quantity of players was at its highest ever ebb. He proudly represented the centre in five fixtures. He won the New Year fours in 1992 and was runner-up in that event in 1994 and also in the champion-of-champions fours in 1987. He competed in our flagship Open fours on 45 occasions, regularly making post section and advancing to the last 16 on a number of instances. In later years, he was joined by his children, which was a fitting conclusion to his fine career. All blessed with that same O'Sullivan talent, Jack's legacy seems set to continue for many years. Well bowled, Jack.

Caz, Danny, Lucy, Ella, Nellie and all of the O'Sullivan Clan.

My heart is broken for you all.
So sad to have such an amazing man gone.
But wow! What a life well lived and well loved by all.
So lucky to have had sooo many years with your treasured Father, Father in Law and Grandfather. He was a one of a kind, he was a legend!
I hope you find comfort at knowing he is now with his beloved wife again and hold close all the memories you shared together.

Rest in Peace and Love Jack, until we have a drink and celebrate a family occasion together again. Thank you for being the most amazing father to my dear friend Caz.

All my love, Tracy Turner.
