Happy memories of a good friend from his school days .

Thinking of the Ries family at this time, rest in peace John

The last time I saw John was at my sisters funeral his kind soul bought me comfort. I am unable to celebrate his life today in Stratford but my thoughts will be with those he has left behind.

Sincere sympathies to the Ries family on the sad loss of John. Another cornerstone of the Strathmore community lost.

Thanks John for being an incredible man, friend and neighbour to our family for approx 75 years. Te Wera and Eastern Taranaki has lost another of its greatest characters, historians and supporters. You will be very missed John, sending love and sympathy to your family xxxxx

John was a highly respected, lifelong neighbour of the O'Brien family. Another stalwart from out East has left us.
Rest in peace John.

John, you welcomed us into Strathmore community, always up for a cuppa and yarn or help solve any problems with farming.
