We were so sad to hear the news of Johns passing. We have such fond memories of him from Waiwaka tennis club. Joanie and Joel spoke so well at the funeral, John would have been very proud. Thinking of you all. Dave and Michele Lace

Sincere sympathy to John's family on his passing. Always a smile on his face and a pleasure to work with when I was at NPBHS office.

John was a stalwart at Waiwaka tennis club for many years. He was an excellent mentor with the young people and coaching the adults of the club where he will be deeply missed. He was also a personal friend. Sincere condolences to you Pam.

We were all shocked and very saddened to read about John's passing .
So pleased we bumped into him and Pam in Piopio awhile ago , was a lovely surprise to see a face from the passed , he was a big part of our boys lives.

I have fond memories of Mr Sims as a student of NPBHS. He really enjoyed his job, his students and his school.
