Born in 1926 in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Jose left the island and settled in New York to build a better life for himself, working various jobs, including in an ice cream factory. Jose proudly entered the U.S. Army out of New York and served his country.
After leaving the Army, Jose built a life with his wonderful wife, Carmen, and they eventually had two children, Lillian and Jose Jr. Jose instilled much love and affection in his family and worked hard to provide for them.
Jose made his final journey home on 24 April 1984, leaving behind his wife, daughter, son, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
