Peacefully at Rhapsody Rest Home on his birthday. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Adrian, Joanne and Phillip, Katrina, and Peter and Dan. Loved Grandfather and Great-Grandfather of all his grandchildren. Loved son of the late Joseph and Betty, and brother of Roger, Michael, Terry, and the late Christopher. Special thanks to the staff at Rhapsody Rest Home for their care of Joe. Requiem Mass for Joe will be celebrated at St Joseph's Catholic Church, Powederham Street, New Plymouth, on Tuesday 31 January 2023 at 10.30am, followed by a private cremation.

My condolences to all Joe´s family. My memories of Joe started when he played the organ and piano for St Philomena´s Parish on Brooklands Road. He was very dedicated and very reliable. I also drummed with him when he played piano for Old Time Dancing. The best memory I have of Joe was his spine tingling rendition of "O Holy Night " when he would sing solo for us at Christmas masses. I will miss you Joe.

Jo visited little fed cafe every day for his breakfast, eggs, tomato and mushrooms on toast and a cup of tea. He will be sadly missed by all of us and allmour customers as well. Known by name by everyone. For iover 5 years! Love to all the family. From the little fed family

Joe was the plumber who came to work on our house in Waitui and after completing the job, asked if he could play our piano. It is not often a tradesman offers a recital as part of their work. Great memories. RIP Joe.
