Joy (Joymae Florence):
At home with her family in Treviglio, Italy, Joy died on 18 February 2022, aged 70 years young. Loved wife of Paolo Carminati. Cherished mother of Ed and Sina (Cambodia), Lucy and Carlo, (London). Nonna of Nabee, Alice and Ida, Laetitia and Lorenzo. Treasured, joyful sister and sister-in-law of Ava (d) and Graeme McGregor (Auckland), Jennie and Russell (d) Moore (N.P.), Carole and Brian (d) Davies (Auckland), Jim and Michelle Coxhead (Auckland), Heather and Murray (d) Watson (Auckland) and Cherie and Don Boyd (Onaero). Adored colourful, playful, Auntie of Sarah and Rachael McGregor, Aveny, Sally, Andrew and Carla Moore, Kim, Jan and Michal Davies, Lara, Glen, Kane and Nadia Coxhead, Fraser (d), Blair and K8 Watson, Kristie, Inga, Angus and Joshua Boyd and their families. Loved daughter of Bill and Millie Jean Coxhead. Many family and friends were welcomed to Joy's Italian home and life as they travelled through Europe. You are invited to gather casually with us to share happy memories of our times with Joy, in Cherie and Don's Onaero garden on Saturday 26 February, from 3.00pm (027 5556691 Cherie). Bring a photo to add to the memory book we will be sending to Italy if you would like to.

I know it's 2 years ago, but news travels slow. I was shocked, but the fond memories from Opunake High, the local dances, the barn dance she hosted and the effervescent personality that personified her name. Oh so pleasant memories I shall cherish forever.

Joy was my loyal mentor and friend and colleague in Treviglio and surrounds for all the years I lived and worked in Italy. She has left us all SO much richer for having been in our lives. My deep, sincere condolences fly from Australia to you all in Onaero, New Zealand, and will accompany you in celebrating her life and remembering the music of her laugh.
