To the Big Karen in the family who had a big heart and a great love for her animals. Glad that you had some time to change your life to spend more time with your beloved horse and enjoy that passion in your life. Taken too soon, though. We will treasure the memories of you.

I knew Karen (Humpy), when we worked the IRD in the early 80's. There was a group of 6-8 people including Karen that plaed cards most morning teas and also socialized in the weekend. Some of us including Karen went to the first Sweetwaters festival. Sadly, I lost touch with Karen, with the last I heard of her sfe had headed off to the UK on her big OE. Karen was always fun to be around and I am glad we reconnected recently. Resr in peace Karen, Your old friend

I only knew Karen professionally. She was a lovely person to deal with, very professional, with a great sense of humour and one of my favourite people to brainstorm with. She will certainly be missed, a very kind, intelligent, and authentic person. My sympathies to her family and friends.

I am sad to read this death notice. Karen´s dad Bill Humphrey, was my cousin. Karen presented me with a horseshoe at our wedding (almost 54 years ago) wearing an orange tutu! I saw Karen in New Plymouth several times regarding family photos.

Very much loved & treasured Mum and Nanny K of Roy, Amelia, Gracie-Mae, Ava and Livia.
We are sending you a dove with a parcel on its wings,
Be careful when you open it, it's full of beautiful things.
