Kathlian KING Obituary

Kathlian the matriarch of the McBirney family, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2023 at the Hayman Bupa Rest Home in Manurewa in her 104th year, with her family by her side. Born in Amuri, Aitutaki, Cook Islands she was the loved wife of the late Jim King and the former wife of Gordon Jenkinson. Very much loved mother of Rosalie and Paul Christensen (Putaruru) Shirley and Ian Wood (both deceased) David and Lynn Jenkinson (Torbay) Faye Jenkinson (deceased), Jimmy King (deceased) and Roy King and partner, Mandy. Also loved and respected grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother of 59. According to her wishes a private family service has been held. Our sincere thanks to everyone at the Hayman Bupa home for their wonderful love and care.

We have fond memories of times shared in Aitutaki with Kath and Jim whilst on family holidays with Lyn and David. Kath´s smile will always be remembered.
