Keith CATHRO Obituary

Last saw Mr Cathro in 1967, Norfolk rd school. I was 7.. Awesome,firm but kind man, larger than life. never forgotten.. He and Mrs Cathro ran easily the best school on the face of the planet. When we werent learning the three "r" in mrs Cathros class, we would sing a lot. Sound of music and my fair lady, as I remember. Lee was right into it. Many Many fond memories.

Remembering with fond thoughts & memories Madge, from Norfolk Rd School. You were both brilliant teachers Madge when my two eldest, Joanne & Craig were at school with Lee & Keitha. We have lived in Oz for 30yrs now though Joanne is in Tauranga! Sending love & sympathy to you all!

Mr Cathro was the Principal of Merrilands school when i was there, i have very fond memories of him & his wife as teachers - RIP Mr Cathro.

HI Madge , Lee and family. shocked to read of Keith's passing. Thought about him quite often after I left Summerset.Will miss his humming a lot. always brightened my day when he did that especially when he started to sing with me and then we would stop and have a good chuckle. All my thoughts. Proud to have been one of the RN's that had the privilege to look after him.

Sorry to hear of your lose ,Madge ,Lee and Keitha .My thoughts where of Keith only a few days back , Memories Of Norfolk road school ,Keith was a brilliant teacher .He coached rugby (won the Mcleod shield )and coached us in swimming ,Gmynastics .and then threw in the odd play ,Oliver twist ,Black and white Minstrels to name a few ..The Red Ford galaxy ,but we wont mention the cigarettes ..Sad day but great memories ..Would love to bring back those days ..All the very best .
