Im sorry I couldn´t be there to celebrate Uncle Kens´s life. Condolences to the family, lots of love. Ill never forget staying at his house as a kid and especially him playing the pipes at my wedding as it was so special something we knew was so hard for him to do, such a kind and special man xx

I grew up in the Kaponga district and have recently returned to Taranaki prior to Covid. Childhood memories of Ken and His brood of Boys. Solid Bloke, and an awesome Family. So you can amigine how deflated I am to hear just this morning that He had passed last week. My heart goes out to Richie, willie John and Mike, with whom I played rugby at Kaponga and their respective Families. Love and Respect Just remember - there is still only 99 wheel barrows in a truck load of concrete .... lol

To William, Clare, Richard, Michael, John and families.
Deepest sympathy to you all at this very sad time.
We have very fond memories of both your mum and dad from our Riverlea days when we were renting your grand father's house.
Opening the windows at night to listen to your dad practising the bag-pipes after milking was always a joy for us then there was the occasion (only once) when Doug had to come over to the house to wake the boys up for milking after a party down by the river when mum and dad were away... lol) not to mention our school days at Riverlea. Our families go back a long way.
Another stalwart gone but never forgotten.

My Deepest Sympathy to You all on Uncle Ken's passing. He was gentle, loving, and many, many more gifts he had. He was a true gentleman a gift from God. I am sorry I didn't come up to you Anna, William, Clare, Richard, Micheal, at the funeral. Uncle Ken would have been so proud of his family, and grandchildren & friends how you all gave him a fantastic send-off. We are getting over COVID. It was great having the Highland Pipe Band bring Uncle Ken into Church and taking him to his final resting place. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. Lots of love.

Sad to see Ken's notice in the paper. Memories of years past drift across the page now. Good days- Kaponga days. Ken was piper for me at so many services as we honoured our elders. Now we are the 'Elders'. My condolences to you all- may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
