The last of my seven brothers to be called home. I will miss your calls, sense of humour and kindness. You were best man at my wedding a very fitting title for you. A great Uncle to my daughters Dianne and Wendy. You will be sadly missed by us all.

Sad to hear of Rustys passing. He was my idol as a child, my all time favourite tanker driver who I used to make cheese on toast for and run over to the cowshed with it when i saw his tanker coming up our long track. I also went to a school fancy dress ball as a Tanker driver!!
He worked with my 2 older brothers back in Kiwi days and they often re-told jokes and stories from this amazing character. The story about his birth will stay with me forever along with the many tanker rides I had when on our run. A gem of a man. Rest easy Rusty and blessings to all his family.

So sad to read of Rusty's passing. He was always my first customer in the birdcage at the Hawera races. He had all of his bet slips filled out before he got there - most of them right. :-) Will miss his cheeky attitude. RIP Rusty

Uncle Murray we will miss your phone calls pretending you are someone else, your jokes and faulty car stories really cracked us up. The time we spent with you and aunty Doreen at your local coffee bar was something we will always remember. Rest easy Murray you have touched many hearts.

Will miss you Rusty, or "Mr Dusty" as our kids always referred to you as.
To the funniest neighbour my kids have known, with your backwards helmet and riding circles on your back lawn waving to our kids while our kids laughed and waved back to you.
Our jokes, your stories and the few swifty's you pulled while chatting over the back fence will be missed.
It was a laugh all the way to the end.
Never will be forgotten

Murray its been a few years since I've seen you- you came over to Palmerston for Thelma's funeral but I saw the great photos that John and Ginny took a few years ago. Thanks for being a great Uncle, full of tricks (esp on the phone) and love to all your family in Hawera.
