Our very Deepest Sympathy Dave & family .
Sorry for such a late tribute but have only just learned today of Kerry´s passing .
Kerry was in our Nurse Training School at PN Hospital starting in 1967 . She was always such a vibrant fun person & a dedicated nurse . She stayed with us at one of our class reunions & had made such a lovely cake, decorated with all these wee nursing figures - one very multi talented lady .
We enjoyed her travel journey emails - always v entertaining - such a fit & active lady .
We are so very sad to hear the news .

Kerry was one of the first nurses I met when I came to work in NZ over 20 years ago - she was hard to keep up with, striding out in cycling shorts on a Round the Mountain relay race. Kerry was amazing with patients at the in patient hospice unit & also very kind to a newly arrived doctor - her local & clinical knowledge often helping me out. Such a generous caring person at doing things for others that it was often hard to find a space to meet up once we both left hospice. I am sad I didn´t say a proper goodbye & will treasure my memories of friendship with such a special lady.
Condolences to Dave & all the family.

Dear Lilley whanau, my thoughts and heart are with you all. On our drive from Wellington to Taranaki yesterday, we watched the sunset on the maunga and so many words came to my mind which made me think of Kerry. I thought of how often I look for the maunga in the skyline, even when I´m not in Taranaki, for reassurance; makes me think of Kerry being a constant support and friend to so many. I thought of how beautiful yet strong the maunga looks - like Kerry too. I also thought of the brave spirit and vibrant energy the maunga holds which reminds me of the huge kindness, love, and open arms Kerry held for everyone that knows her. From now, I will always see Kerry´s sparkly, lights-up-a-room smile when I look to the maunga. xx
