Leah BEATTIE Obituary

4 May 1939 – 4 May 2024
Passed away peacefully on 4 May 2024. Beloved sister and sister-in-law of the late Roy and Enid Spence, John and Beverley Beattie and of her late nephew Stewart Spence. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Bevin and Barbara Beattie and of her nephew Gavin Spence and her nieces Rosene Spence, Delwyn Dellow and Cynthia Hopkins. Leah, you will be remembered for your incredible life of service and faithfulness as a missionary in Nigeria and Niger and upon your return to New Zealand. It is with sorrow that we realise your season has passed but it is with comfort that we know you are now in a place of peace and tranquility and are re-united with family who have gone before.

"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; […] A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; […]." Ecclesiastes 3:1, 2, 4.

A service to celebrate Leah's life will be held at the Knox Church, 17 Grey Street, Waitara at 11.00am Friday, 10th May 2024, followed by a private cremation.
