Smiley Hitchcock, like Mark said he was at all the parties, always skidding up the streets in the Mark 1 Escort. He would get a new set of tyres, come and pick me up and then skid the rubber off them wearing them in. Such a shame he´s gone- a Taranaki legend.

Hey Lee, I remember my time at Inglewood High School in the late 70's. In a class full of girls, I would look across the room at the only boy... there you were in your element... typing away on a Remington typewriter! I have often thought "only you, Bill Gates & Steve Jobs foresaw the technology of the future." Heaven is waiting, Kay. My sincere condolences to Harry, Pauline & the Hitchcock family.
