Leo DILLEN Obituary
Passed peacefully on Monday 11 June 2018, aged 90 years. Cherished husband and soulmate of Miny. Much loved father, father-in-law, Opa, and great-Opa of Ron, Marijke, Rianne, Karen (dec): Annamarie and John, Steve, Emma and Cora, Kelly, James and Ava: Frances, Michael, Madison: Terry and Sharyn, Kate, Sarah and Luca. In lieu of flowers, donations to A House For Karen would be much appreciated, and may be left at the service. All messages may be shared on Leo's memorial page at www.heavenaddress.com, or sent to "The van Dillen Family", c/- PO Box 3082, New Plymouth. A service for Leo will be held at Our Lady Help Of Christians Catholic Church, 24 Clinton Street, Fitzroy, on Friday 15 June 2018, at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation.

To Miny and family, adding to Harris whanau condolences, to this day we cannot forget Miny's beaming pretty smile and Leo's very big soccer boots, round-toed with nailed-on leather sprigs. And matches were exotic with the foreign accents and antics. Great days when there was so much diversity and togetherness.

Aroha mai, I was saddened to hear of your loss, as a kid I recall meeting Miny and Leo at home in Moturoa St, my sister Hinga had befriended Miny at Junior Fashions and Leo and Miny used to come for lunch on Sundays sometimes, I recall listening with my brother Noel to Leo as he talked of some of his biking exploits as a youth in Holland. Arohanui, Harris whaanau o Tigertown.

So glad I caught up with Leo and Miny the other day at Molly Ryan and we shared memories of having pie, pea and spuds at the Mayfair Cafe in Waitara. Loved those little cakes that Miny made too! That was in the late 60's early 70's. They were good times and took them back to those busy days! Our thoughts are with you all at this very sad time. David and Sheryl Page
