Leo HICKEY Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Jean Sandel Rest Home on Wednesday 30 January, with his family by his side, aged 81 years. Dearly loved husband of Ann for 58 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Chris & Julie, Graham & Janet, Darrell & Lisa, Lynette & Dave, and Bronwyn & Stephen Dudin. Loving and proud Grandad of Ashleigh, Liam, Dylan, Jack, Hugh; Nathan, Shan, Callum, Laura; Stak; Murphy, Niamh; Bridget, Matthew, Lachlan, Caleb, Ethan, and Declan. Great-Grandad of Frances, and Floyd. Youngest son of the late Sid and Bridie Hickey (Opunake). Brother of Frances Keats, Margaret O'Brien, Sister Rita, Imelda Hall (all deceased) and John Hickey. Loved uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the staff at Jean Sandel for their love and care of Leo. All messages to the Hickey Family 4374 Main South Road Opunake 4616 or may be left at www.eagars.co.nz/Leo. In preference to flowers a donation to Stroke Foundation NZ may be made and left at the service. Requiem Mass for Leo will be celebrated at Our Lady Star Of The Sea, Whitcombe Road, Opunake, on Tuesday 5 February 2019, at 11.00am, then moving to Opunake Cemetery. Rosary will be prayed in the church on Monday evening at 7.00pm.
