Leo O'CONNOR Obituary

O'CONNOR, Leo Donald. - At Riverside Home and Hospital, New Plymouth, cruelly taken too young at 62, but at rest after a brave 20-month battle with cancer. Leo will forever remain the darling brother of Maree (Cave) and Suzie (Lonsdale), who cherish the laughter of their shared childhood and the zest and joy of their teenage years, and who will greatly miss his wise counsel and jolly stories at their more recent many years of weekly morning teas and at countless family gatherings. Loved and respected brother-in-law of Noel and Chris, uncle of Leyton and Kerry, Melissa and Neil, Tristan and Fay, all of New Plymouth, and Sinclair and Maria (Great Barrier Island) and Lawton and Rachel (London). Great-nephews and nieces Marco, Ethan, Xavier, Savanna, Alyssa and Paige sadly will be denied Leo's expert knowledge of confectionary and puddings, as well as all the lesser matters of life.
Travel well, you gentle, lovely man.
