Leonard HANN Obituary

Passed away at Elizabeth R Lifecare, Stratford on Tuesday 9th December 2025. Aged 96 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Jenny & Ian (dec) Powell, Sandy & Trevor Moeke, Alison Anderson, Robyn & Dave Monastra, loved Grandad Gordon to Ben, Nicola, John; Matua, Jacob, Te Awhina; Josh (dec), Jessie; Catherine, Michael, and loved great-grandad GG to his 11 great-grandchildren.

"Rest peacefully, We will miss you".

In preference to flowers, donations to Special Children's Events New Zealand Ltd 01-0505-0876278-00 (Ref: Hann) would be appreciated. All messages to the Hann Family can be sent C/- PO Box 123, Stratford 4352. A Service for Gordon will be held at The Mary Alice Chapel, 119 Regan Street, Stratford, on Friday, 12th December 2025, at 1.00pm, followed by the burial at The Kopuatama Cemetery, Stratford. Sorry to hear of the passing of Gordon. I am a caregiver for MaryAnn, working in the community, and I sometimes went to Gordon to do his cares. He was a lovely gentleman to deal with, and I enjoyed our chats.

Our deepest sympathy to Jenny, Sandy, Alison and Robyn and families.
Gordon was one of life's true gentlemen. Always a pleasure to meet and loved a long chat whenever you could spare the time. So many wonderful memories of Gordon, Alec and George over the 15 years we leased their land.
From the haymaking on the farm for local fundraising to the extra long chats with them sitting in their ute at the roadside.
