Such a good man and a visionary for the Dairy Workers union the movement and wages are now a reflection of Ray's vision and determination to see working people get a fair deal. His negotiation skills were second to none and my own personal experience watching Ray go to work dismantling hapless Employers was a joy to watch. On a personal side Ray had a huge ticker and love for his comrades and Family. Rest easy Ray condolences to your whanau and know that there is a part of Ray in everyone that witness or was part of his vision and negotiation skills.

He worked to give members a fair chance to negotiate terms and conditions of work in industry.

Many fond memories of Ray as a passionate advocate for workers' rights and, with Gail, a great friend to us. Our thoughts are with Gail and the family at this sad time.

A man with such vision in the pursuit of a fairer life for working people. My first Union boss, I learnt so much. Great and happy memories Gail.
