Lester MCDOWELL Obituary
691332, TPR, First NZ Scottish Reg. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday 3 May, 2017, aged 80. Dearly loved husband of Heather. Loved father and father-in-law of Barry and Romayne, Murray, and Maree. Much loved granddad of Ashley and Sarah, Matthew and Mel, Bree, and twins Linnia and Karie, and great-granddad of Carter, and Flynn. The service to celebrate Lester's life is to be held at the Taranaki Crematorium Chapel, Junction Road, New Plymouth at 1.00pm on Saturday 6 May.

I worked with Lester as a part timer after my normal shift at the Daily News, as a wrapping machine operator, Lester was a top guy and a great supervisor. I had a lot of time and respect for him.

I will never forget those times at your house Heather, with big Deb (Mum) and Lester! While the years have rolled on, and life has moved us in different directions, I will never forget his rich dark hair, his cutting humour and loving kindness.
