Yesterday

Lois will be remembered with affection by those who attended Opunake High School in the late 50's/early 60's. She was hugely respected by her fellow students and staff and was an outstanding sportswoman who was appointed Head Girl in her final year. She had a great sense of humor and decided it was part of her role to ensure I knew my place as a lowly 3rd former!! Lessons I've never forgotten! Over the many years since then whenever we have met again I have always enjoyed and appreciated every moment spent in her company. To Ivan and the extended Smith and Pennington families I am thinking of you all, at this time of such a loss, with loving sympathy.
