So sorry to hear that we have lost Lynley. She was so good to me when I was a student teacher working at Solway College in Masterton where she was then HOD Science. She paved the way for me to teach and encouraged me, after a few years of mentoring from her, to take over as Assistant Principal from her as she moved on to Taranaki. Lynley was a born educator, so professional and she was generous with her time and years of experience. I will be forever grateful for having received her leadership and guidance and her taking me under her wing. Her sewing skills were fantastic as I remember. I would often think of her as I was pulling the curtains in the big hall at Solway College as she lead the working bee that made them all. A huge task that our community really benefited from. Thanks so much Lynley for your support and belief in me. You will be sorely missed.
