Majorie MEGAW Obituary


Passed away peacefully at Annie Brydon Lifecare, Hawera, on Thursday, May 9, 2024, aged 88 years. Dearly loved and devoted wife of Arnold. Treasured mother and mother-in-law of Kelly and Janine, and Chris and Melanie. Loving Grandma to Matthew and Ritchie, and Alex and Lucas.


A service of thanksgiving and celebration for the life of Anne will be held in the South Taranaki Funeral Services Chapel, 268 High Street, Hawera, on Wednesday, May 15, at 11.00am followed by private cremation. Mrs Megaw was my teacher in Standard Four at Manaia Primary, I'll always remember her love for the Royal Family so much so that when Prince Charles and Lady Diana got married, she took our whole class to her house to watch the wedding she was not going to miss it, I smile as I think of that memory, thank you Mrs Megaw may you forever rest in peace.

Hi Arnold very sorry to hear your loss of your loved Anne you were both very kind friends of Mum and Dad and always offered to take them anywhere when they could not drive any more also they loved comming to All Black test nights where Anne would fly the All Black flag high at the gate and would cheer the loudish when they got a try also thank you for picking and taking us to the airport when Alan and I came back to Taranaki thinking of you when you say your last goodbye hope i see you some time Grant Watts Dunedin
