I first met Malcolm when I was 15 when my dear Craig took me to meet his parents. Malcolm (and Marls of course), made a huge impression on me - so welcoming, hospitable and easy to get along with. It was the beginning of what would be many more years that we all became like family - treasured times spent together enjoying wine(s), Malcolm´s BBQ and pastry dessert expertise, good advice, banter about sport, travel and cheek from his son shared freely between us all. What a gentleman. Thank you Malcolm for making Andrew also feel like family and perfectly content to stay with you. Rest easy now with your devoted son. Marlene is strong and we will all stand beside her. All our love, Tracey and Andrew, and the late Melva and Russell Meuli.

The New Plymouth Old Boys' cricket club wish to acknowledge the passing of former committee member Malcolm Barrowman. Malcolm was involved in the club during the busy years of the early 1980s and was a significant contributor to the club's fund-raising efforts and pavilion enhancements at the time. He was awarded the Old Boys' 'Club Person of the Year' trophy in 1983 for his contribution to the club and is well-remembered by many club members. Our condolences to Marlene and the family.
