Very sad to hear of Mrs. Okey's passing.
I first knew Mrs. Okey as a student at NPGHS - I was one who spent much of their spare time in the school library, so I got to know Mrs. Okey quite well!!
Later, we became neighbours for a time where she had a good view of my vegetable garden and would often cheer me on in my backyard endeavours.
Such a lovely, caring soul of whom I will always hold fond memories of. Sincere condolences to her family. God speed Mrs. Okey, rest in peace.

You were one of the most caring teachers l had at New Plymouth Girls High School. I will always remember your kindness, and determination to get the best out of us as a student.

To Keith and family I´m so sorry to hear about the passing of such a lovely lady. It´s been a honour and privilege to have known and cared for Marion. My thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
